Milestones That Shaped Our Mission

1982

Creative Financial Designs is registered as a Registered Investment Adviser. Founder Mick Owens serves as the firm’s first president, a role he would hold until 1998.

1990

cfd Investments, Inc. is registered and launched as a Registered Broker/Dealer. Founder Mick Owens serves as the firm’s first President, a role he would hold until 1998.

1998

Brent Owens, son of founder Mick Owens, is named President of cfd Investments Inc. and Creative Financial Designs.  At the time, the firm served 50 Financial Advisers with an average production of less than $10,000 per adviser.

2003-2004

The CFD Companies crosses over 100 Financial Advisers served.

Kris Hale named Vice President of cfd Investments Inc., and Kregg Rooze is named Vice President of Creative Financial Designs.

2006

Creative Financial Centre opens. The CFD Companies move into a 44,000 square foot, custom built, home office building to house a growing staff and be able to host annual conferences.

2020-2024

Creative Financial Designs crosses $1 billion in AUM.

CFD Companies, cfd Investments Inc. and Creative Financial Designs, serve approximately 150 producing advisers dispersed among the 50 United States. Overseeing roughly $6 billion in total client assets, the two primary firms of CFD Companies are committed to strategic growth through leading in industry innovation and uncommonly personal relationships with the entire adviser family.
